Strength and longevity

There is an article that I give a link to at the bottom of this page that is from Harvard Medical School, and it speaks about how you can have a longer life if you increase your strength through resistance training. This falls in line with what the Bible teaches. It says in the Bible all the years of a man are 70 years or if due to strength 80 years. This is just another example of science agreeing with what the Bible has been saying for centuries. Olive oil can help decrease your need for blood pressure medicine

Olive oil has many beneficial effects on the body. It is an anti-inflammatory as well as being full of antioxidants, but did you know that it can help to lower your blood pressure too enough so that you won't need blood pressure medicine as much. Diet versus Exercise

I'll be honest in my 50s, I've gained more weight than I would like to admit. The Mayo Clinic says that diet is the best way to lose weight, and once the weight is off, the best way to keep it off is exercise. I have read that if you can practice yoga for a long enough period of time, you'll become thinner and thinner if you stick with it. It's just a very slow weight loss. Yoga and Tai chi are also good for you in other ways, such as lowering blood pressure and relieving stress, and strengthening your immune system. Yoga for older people

If you are an older person or recovering from surgery or some injury, this article is for you. Jane Adams has been practicing things like yoga and Tai chi and strength building and other forms of exercise as an instructor since the 1970s, and she really knows her stuff. If you would like to improve your ability to get around and your endurance and flexibility, and strength, and you have a very low starting point, such as being very elderly or injured, then this video is for you. It is chair yoga with Jane Adams, and it can get you up and going like you haven't been going in years. I've used this myself because I had a pulmonary embolism a while back, and it got me very weak, or rather the after-effects of it did. This video has three levels. At the beginner level, everything is done in a chair that would be level 1, and it gets more advanced all the way up to Level 3, and by the way, in my opinion, chair yoga will give you all the benefits of regular yoga it's just something that you can do that would be easier. I have included a picture of it if you want to buy it on Amazon or elsewhere, it is sold. Don't forget to talk with your doctor before you start any exercise program. Try level 1 the easiest level and see if your blood pressure doesn't go down significantly within 1/2 an hour after doing the exercise.

 National Institute of Health says that honey is a possible   Natural Cancer vaccine

The National Institute of Health website speaks of honey as having an inverse reaction to many things that are a precursor to cancer. Indeed, even the National Institute of health doesn't know everything about cancer, but they are supposed to be health experts. Honey can also boost your immune system if you have a cold and make your throat feel better. However, if you need a biblical reason for using honey, a teaspoon or two a day, there is a scripture that says, "gracious words are as a honeycomb sweetness to the soul and health to the body" English standard version Bible. It's saying that gracious words and a honeycomb have the same effect; they are sweetness to the soul and health to the body, and what is in the honeycomb? Honey. I would advise a little caution because there can be allergic reactions to honey in very rare cases, although processed honey, which the NIH article is about, doesn't have a lot of pollen in it as is the case with raw honey. Mediterranean diet and longevity

The Mediterranean diet was ranked number one by US News and World Report. It has been linked with longevity, better heart health, a reduction in overall chronic inflammation, and is full of antioxidants. However, you know only God can determine whether we live or whether we have our health, but he gave us minds to decide how to take care of ourselves, and he expects us to do our part. One diet I think it's a good idea to avoid is the Atkins diet. Suppose you eat a bunch of animal fat. In that case, even if your cholesterol level stays down, that saturated fat is going somewhere very likely your arteries to increase your risk of heart disease and cancer. Of course, that's just my own personal opinion. I think the healthiest thing you can do for yourself is to do things God's way, and this is a good prayer about that:" Heavenly Father, I offer this day to you. I pray that my every thought, word, and action might give you glory and be in total conformity with your will. Thy will be done. A bowl of this a day helps to keep the grim Reaper away

According to Lori Grisham in USA TODAY, a bowl of oatmeal a day is what does it.  Oatmeal has beta-glucan, which lowers cholesterol and has many other healthy effects, including improving blood flow to your heart. It has many antioxidants that can do everything from help prevent cancer to making your skin look healthier. Studies have shown that it can help you live longer. Oatmeal also helps you to manage your weight. A few years back, the Guinness Book of World Records winners of being the oldest family in the world attributed eating oatmeal twice a day to their longevity. They were the Donnellys, an Irish family. If you can develop the habit of eating oatmeal in the morning and even if you fail to eat oatmeal, then do it every day sometime during the day, it could be one of the healthiest habits you'll have for the rest of your life. Oats are some of the healthiest foods on the face of the earth. In my opinion, you should choose the old-fashioned oatmeal at the stores, which takes 5 minutes to cook because it is less processed than the other kinds of oatmeal. Avoiding too much sugar when you eat oatmeal is good too.

The best book you can find for anxiety

Many people have anxiety nowadays, especially with this pandemic going on for so long, and some people even have chronic or generalized anxiety. Also, there are other types of anxiety disorders. This anxiety causes stress, and the stress can cause premature aging and the shortening of your telomeres. There is a book written by the “for dummies series,” If you know anything about that series, you know they are outstanding books that make things very easy to understand. The book is called “Overcoming Anxiety for Dummies.” You can sometimes get a very good used one for a song at places like Thriftbooks and Amazon, and you can save a few dollars that way. Anxiety is nothing to mess around with. The shortening of your telomeres means the shortening of your life too. Finally, you can pray and ask the Lord to increase your faith which gets rid of fear and fear is just another word for anxiety.

Periodontal disease is a problem for many older adults, and it could lead to tooth loss(I am not trying to sell you anything this info is for your good. I just wanted to show you what the brush looks like) . If it hasn't already done this in your case, you can stop this tooth loss from happening by doing two things 1 get a Phillips Sonicare gum health toothbrush, and it needs to specify that it will improve your gum health significantly up to 100%, not all Phillips toothbrushes say this. The brushes are for different reasons and various problems that you have with teeth and gums, so don't forget to specify that it's for gum health when you do a search at Amazon or Walmart or wherever. 2 the next thing you need to do after purchasing this 70 or $80 toothbrush is to get your dentist to write a prescription for prescription-strength fluoride toothpaste. This toothbrush will keep your gums healthy, and the prescription-strength fluoride toothpaste will keep you from having cavities, so you will keep your teeth and gums in good health even if you have periodontal disease, so as long as your teeth haven't already become loose, you have an excellent chance of keeping them. I'm just trying to help you keep your teeth and gums healthy. I know this works because I have had Periodontal disease for many years and I still have all my teeth. Also don't forget to floss every day.
