Olive oil has many beneficial effects on the body. It is an anti-inflammatory as well as being full of antioxidants, but did you know that it can help to lower your blood pressure too enough so that you won't need blood pressure medicine as much. You should, however, never reduce your blood pressure medicine without talking to your doctor first. Did you know that fish oil is not only good at lowering triglycerides and blood pressure but has been shown that if your Omega three fatty acid intake is low, it will cause premature aging? Diet versus Exercise

I'll be honest in my 50s, I've gained more weight than I would like to admit. The Mayo Clinic says that diet is the best way to lose weight, and once the weight is off, the best way to keep it off is exercise. I have read that if you can practice yoga for a long enough period of time, you'll become thinner and thinner if you stick with it. It's just a very slow weight loss. Yoga and Tai chi are also good for you in other ways, such as lowering blood pressure and relieving stress, and strengthening your immune system.
